19 Josh stepped carefully over the threshold, following in Suzanne’s wake. He took off the messenger bag Evie had given him at the gallery and set it on the coffee table. This wasn’t the right time to give Suzanne the gift he’d gotten her. She could have been a walking storm front. Emotions poured off of her.
