“Elliot, this is madness. You can’t do this!” I yelled at him as I followed him back inside from the outrageous speech he gave the pack. Not only had he lied, but he knowingly was willing to sacrifice pack members' lives for this fight. The Elliot I once knew would have died fighting off the sorcerers rather than working for them. This is it– the moment I no longer blindly follow Elliot. "Think this through, brother, or you'll lose more than just a few lives."
His growl, in response, pushed Kiaro back inside me, causing him to submit to the Alpha waves. "I didn't ask for your opinion. It's been a long time since you've called me brother, brother," he spat the word as if it were some sort of filth. "Either fall in line or become my enemy."
