I slowly set my phone down, my chest heavy.
Raider won’t be coming home for three days. He has “something important” to handle—something that involves making sure Divine answers for what she did to me.
A small part of me feels relieved knowing he’s taking action. That he’s protecting me.
But the weight inside my chest hasn’t lifted.
Dad hasn’t stopped messaging me. Over and over, he tells me to come home. To leave Raider. He even said he’s asking people to help him find me.
The thought makes my stomach twist.
