Divine's POV I’d been calling Raider for a while now, but there was still no answer. He wasn’t like this before. Back then, whenever I called, he picked up almost immediately. When I sent him a message, he replied right away. Now, he either took forever—or worse, he saw my message and chose not to respond at all. I let out a frustrated sigh. Why did it feel like something had changed? Did he have a girlfriend now? Was he in love with someone else? The thought alone made my chest ache. I’d liked Raider for a long time—since I was still learning what it meant to be a woman. He’d been there for me when I needed someone most. He protected me, defended me. People used to think we were siblings because of how he stood by me, how fiercely he looked out for me. But I never saw him that way
