Avannah’s POV
“So frustrating!” Divine burst out the moment she stepped into Raider’s office.
“Why?” I asked, feigning innocence.
“Raider is being impossible! I’ve invited him out so many times, and he keeps refusing. He’s clearly rejecting me now,” she snapped, rolling her eyes. “I really need to catch the woman he’s obsessed with. I’m sure she’s the reason he keeps turning me down.”
I smiled to myself. So Raider was refusing her—good. He was always generous with his time when it came to me. Later, I’d make sure to spoil him. How long he stayed with me was entirely up to him.
