Avannah’s POV Raider had called me several times, but I didn’t answer a single one. I was already home, and I decided to stay the night since I didn’t have work tomorrow. Annoyed, I finally sent him a short reply, telling him I’d be sleeping here. I lied—said my mom wanted me to stay with her. I took a deep breath and wiped my tears. I’d been crying nonstop ever since I lay down on the bed. That man was unbelievably frustrating. I clearly saw how tightly Divine hugged him—and how he hugged her back. I didn’t know if he noticed me standing there, but I doubted it. I closed the door too quickly. He infuriated me. He told me he was keeping his distance from her, yet there he was, holding her like that. It seemed he couldn’t really push her away. He was still affected by her theatrics. S
