In a fit of frustration, I hurled my cellphone against the wall. It fell to the floor, shattered. I closed my eyes tightly, breathing heavily. I was enveloped in intense anger now. That damn Raider! His words were so hurtful! He didn't even think about what he was saying to me! The way he talks to me, you'd think I wasn't his best friend. It only means one thing, the woman he's infatuated with is a bad influence on him. Because if she were a good woman, Raider wouldn't be treating me like this now.
"That's enough. It's broad daylight, and you're drinking alcohol. Raider is the reason again. Why don't you just give up? Do you want to keep doing this over and over? Drinking to temporarily ease the pain?" Richard scolded me.
