CHAPTER 35 MIAThe next morning, I rolled over in bed to rest my head on Michael’s chest and opened my eyes to the blazing morning sun. I lifted my hand to make sure I still had the ring on my finger and that everything that had happened last night wasn’t a dream. But there it was, a cushion cut diamond, glistening so brightly on my finger. My heart warmed, and for once in my life, I felt loved. All the men before Michael had let me down.
