CHAPTER 32
She wears her royal dress and the maids fix her hair. Hours have passed and she still hasn’t seen Keiran. Zoe enters the room and Arianna feels much better having a familiar face around.
“Good morning!” Zoe sounds really excited.
“Hey” Arianna responds. Zoe notices something is off and she orders the maids to leave.
“You know you just slayed a powerful pirate, right?” she reminds her of the events of yesterday. For some reason, Arianna had forgotten about that. What came after is what mattered to her.
“I--I know but..” she stops looking around.
“Where is Keiran?” she wonders.
“He didn’t tell you? He tries to bring order to the Kingdom. Remember, there was a battle that happened yesterday”.
“Oh, right” she says but still it looks like she isn’t really here.
