"Let me go!" Ivy screamed and struggled as she was taken out of the black car with her hands tied. Two large men dragged her into a rundown building that looked unkempt.
"I said, let me go, asshole!" She yelled back and kicked one of the men who had grabbed her arm. His kick hit the man's shin, making him groan, but his grip remained firm.
The other man just laughed sarcastically. "You think that's enough to make us let you go, lady?" He gripped Ivy tighter, his fingers pressing hard into her skin.
Enduring the pain, Ivy screamed, "Let me go! I'll kill you!" she yelled, but they ignored her.
Feeling cornered, Ivy tried again. She pulled her body back and delivered a kick to the vital area of the man next to her. The man took a few steps back, wincing in pain. Though surprised by Ivy's strength, they soon recovered. The man's face turned red, full of anger.
"Stop resisting, or you'll regret it!" the man threatened in a hateful voice.
"Shut up? No way! I'd rather die than give up!" retorted Ivy firmly.
Another man approached, grabbed Ivy's hair roughly, and pulled her head up. "We'll see how strong you are, stubborn lady," he said, dragging her deeper into the dark room.
Ivy endured the pain, the courage within her stirring. But before she could react, a hard blow hit her head. The world went black, and her body fell unconscious. The two men laughed, picked her up, and carried her away.
They took Ivy to a small, dark room. Slowly, Ivy regained consciousness, hearing faint noises all around her. She didn't know where she was, but this place was like a large iron cage covered with a black cloth.
Underneath the cloth, the bustling voices of men could be heard, along with the smell of smoke and alcohol that filled the air. Ivy was in an illegal auction ring run by four large, notorious families.
On stage, a large man stood as the master of ceremonies. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!" his voice boomed. "Tonight, we have a special offer. A beautiful girl from the Low'e family! A famous... controversial family."
Boisterous voices, full of laughter and enthusiastic applause, filled the room. Ivy held her breath, her chest tight. "The Low'e..." she murmured. She knew her family's reputation for their integrity and opposition to any form of cheating. Many despised them for their steadfastness in business.
The man continued in a mocking tone, "Her body may be full of wounds, but don't worry; she is still seductive enough to satisfy you on the bed." Ivy felt insulted, her face flushed with anger.
"Bastard!" Ivy shouted loudly.
The man laughed. "Did you guys hear that? He's pretty fierce, huh? Imagine... how powerful and wild she is, quite capable of fulfilling your desires," he said in a tone that made the guests even more excited.
"And now, I will give you a chance to see our special item of the day."
The black curtain covering the cage was suddenly drawn. Bright light dazzled Ivy's eyes, startling her. When her vision returned, she realized she was being displayed before a crowd of men with wild gazes. Her frail, scarred body was clad only in a thin, transparent red dress. The handcuffed hands behind her made it impossible for her to cover her exposed body parts, and the more she moved, the more visible everything became.
"Arthur, please save me," she whispered silently, even though she knew there was little hope. Her brother didn't even know where she was. Still, that hope hung on, the only hold in the middle of this nightmare.
"Ivy Low'e?" someone from the crowd whispered. Someone knew her, and they seemed eager for the chance to have her. "She's beautiful. I've seen her before."
"I've seen her too," another man added. "Beautiful, seductive body, she's like a Goddess, and now I want her! Hurry up and reveal the starting price!" he exclaimed hoarsely, his lustful gaze fixed on Ivy, making her feel even more humiliated.
On the stage, a large MC with a creepy smile raised a hand, trying to calm the crowd. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen! I know you can't wait to see her up close. So, let's start with the lowest price!"
"Show me the price now!" someone shouted enthusiastically.
Ivy closed her eyes, her heart praying in fear. "Arthur... where are you?" her lips moved silently. Her tears were about to fall, but she tried to stay strong. "Mom, Dad... I'm scared..."
MC laughed sarcastically. "Let's start with ten dollars for a girl from the Low'e family!" he exclaimed. "Ten dollars only! It's a rare offer!"
Ivy felt anger burning in her chest. "Ten dollars? They think I'm worth that?" she thought angrily.
The crowd began to whisper, some laughing, others exclaiming about how cheap the offer was. Ivy saw the greed in their eyes, like a beast ready to pounce.
"Focus, Ivy... Focus," she whispered to herself, trying to calm down. "There must be a way out."
Meanwhile, the MC continued to heat things up. "Come on, who's bidding higher? This is Ivy from the Low'e family, an ordinary girl! Ten dollars is a bargain!"
The crowd was getting rowdy. "Twenty dollars!" shouted one man in a hoarse voice. "Thirty!" another shouted excitedly.
Ivy stared at them, disgusted. "I'm not merchandise! Stop haggling!" she shouted.
"I like her spirit! Fifty dollars!" someone shouted, raising the bid.
"Fifty dollars! That's a good bid. Anyone want to bid higher?"
"Never mind, let's get the hammer down! Fifty dollars is enough!" the man exclaimed excitedly.
Suddenly, a man in the corner of the room raised his bidding board. "One hundred thousand dollars!" he shouted loudly, making the room instantly quiet. Everyone turned around, surprised.
The man, whose face was hidden behind a mask, walked slowly towards the stage. "I bid on the girl for one hundred thousand dollars," he repeated firmly.
The crowd was dumbfounded, and whispers were again heard, this time full of admiration and disappointment.
The MC was silent for a moment, surprised by the offer. "One hundred thousand dollars?" He chuckled, incredulous. "What a fantastic price for a girl like her. Anyone want to bid higher?"
Ivy looked at the man with hope mixed with fear. "Who is he? Why would he bid that much?" she thought. Is this a sign of her good fortune or the beginning of a darker nightmare?
