The day was warmer than the previous few. In Rose Hollow, that meant it was a perfect day for a press conference. Becky had once again closed the store in the middle of the day, and she was standing near Patrick Turner as he had a coworker quickly set up cameras.
"Becky, do you have anything to do with this?" Patrick asked. He was wearing a wonderful camel-coloured coat. It looked expensive, but she wasn't sure where he had got it. He adjusted his gloves and plugged in a microphone.
"I had everything to do with this," Becky said.
"I should be surprised."
"I think it is very good for our relationship that you're not," Becky said seriously with a nod. Patrick looked around. Becky wasn't sure if there were going to be people showing up. She could feel her heart race.
