Although Becky had not been the type to want to own a house, she found herself jealous of the ones in Rose Hollow. Catherine's home was small but large enough for one person, with one bedroom and one full bathroom. She had two stories and had decorated her home warmly. Becky had never really wanted to own a home, but she wanted Catherine's home. It left the apartment over the store she lived in, a studio apartment with a half bath, a lot to be desired.
Becky had often sat in Catherine's kitchen watching her wash dishes. She was doing the same that day after she had closed the store. They tried to make plans weekly, and even though sometimes things got in the way of that, she knew Catherine would always be there for her.
And Becky had to do the same.
"Only a few more," Catherine said.
