The walk to the infirmary really didn't take long. The modern single storey building stood in the center of the town with manicured planters and wooden benches. Inside the white and beige waiting room pregnant women sat talking quietly, children either played or wailed impatiently and the elderly read or stared patiently into space. To the untrained eye the infirmary was just another GP practise but those that knew what to look for could see the faint differences.
