Daniel groaned in frustration. Inga must have told Maria and naturally Maria told Eva. It would have been great if he got to tell Eva himself but he should have known the news would spread fast. Admittedly he didn't think it would spread THAT fast.
"Oh look at the time!" Leah gasped. "It's nearly time for me to pick the twins up."
Daniel knew it wasn't anywhere near time to pick up the children but he didn't argue. He needed to talk to Eva and now was as good a time as any. He watched silently as Leah grabbed her belongings and made herself scarce leaving Eva and Daniel alone.
