Days turns into weeks and each day I feel my strength and well being improving drastically. It took me a few days to be able to walk without support, but I am proud of myself when I finally achieve that small milestone. I have not thought about my father much. Xavier avoids the topic and I am glad that he does. Xavier does not leave my side while I am awake. He only ever leaves the hospital to get some food for us and some clean clothes while I nap or sleep to retain as much energy as possible. I feel well looked after when he is around. I was transferred to a private room in the hospital, paid for by my mate. The room includes a double bed in which Xavier fits in.
