Little Secrets (Continued)

James is at a loss. The queen wants him to search for a baby? That is nearly impossible, he thought. Then out of nowhere, a cat jumps in front of him, this cat has a very weird aura coming from it. James shoos it away, the cat meows at him and walks into an alleyway. James gets a weird thought suddenly, Should I follow this cat? What if it knows something...

James follows the cat into the alley. The cat stands next to a lump on the ground. James looks at the lump and touches it slightly with his foot. The lump groans, it shifts to reveal a very pregnant elf slave. "Oh!" says a very surprised James. " Are you alright miss?" The slave shakes her head no. James notices she is shivering, so he puts his sweater over her. The elf groans slightly and a pool of water starts forming beneath her. " Oh dear..."

James lays her down on her back and rushes over to his carriage that is conveniently close by. He comes back and he sees she is pushing slightly. " Ok calm down, Miss. Everything will be alright. Just keep pushing." James takes his gloves and gets ready to perform a natural birth. " Alright, I feel the babies head. Keep pushing! She's almost here!" James gives a hand to the elf and she squeezes his had with all her might.

Then, a small cry can be heard from the alley. James wraps the baby in a cloth and cleans the baby up, and hands it to the new mother now. "Congrats, It's a girl" James puts away his tools and watches the mother interact with the baby. " Thank you..." Her voice sounds very strained. " Don't force yourself, let me take you to my clinic so I can treat you better." She nods slightly.

But then she collapses, her breathing stops and her eyes slowly close. "Hey! Wake up! You can't sleep yet!" James tries to simulate some type of movement by slapping her face or arms. "Damn it all!" He picks her up and heads over to his carriage and informs the driver to get to his clinic. "And Quickly!." He tries to keep her warm in the meantime " Please, Please! Stay with me, your daughter needs you!" As if on cue the little bundle in her arms starts crying, its as if she knows her mother is leaving her...
