Beckie's POV
I had spotted Cassie from afar; I even called out to her, but she couldn't hear me because of her headphones. I also saw when a car drove towards her and hit her. Likewise, I was horrified and shocked to see my friend lying motionless on the ground. The car had long gone, the driver fleeing out of fear of getting into trouble.
"Cassie! Oh my God!" I ran over and kneeled down, seeing that she was bleeding from her head and already unconscious. "Oh my God, my friend." I was crying and trembling with horror. Why was this happening to her?
