Chapter 13: A Surprise Delivery
Leila woke up to the sound of her doorbell ringing incessantly, the shrill tone piercing through the peaceful morning air, she had a late night movie shoot last night and now she is trying to make it up to her body for the stress, but someone had other plans for her didn't they? . She groggily opened her eyes, blinking away the sleep as she took in the sight of her all-white bedroom. The duvet was rumpled, the blankets tangled around her legs, and the pillows were scattered across the bed. The room was a serene oasis, with white walls, white curtains, and a plush white carpet that felt like clouds beneath her feet.
She swung her legs over the side of the bed, her toes curling into the soft carpet as she stood up. The air was filled with the sweet scent of fresh laundry, and the soft hum of the air conditioner provided a gentle background noise. She padded across the room, her eyes still bleary, and made her way to the door.
As she opened it, she was greeted by a sea of flower delivery men, their arms occupied totally by bouquets of red roses, pink carnations, and white lilies. The hallway was filled with the sweet scent of flowers, and Leila's eyes widened in surprise.
"What's going on?" she asked, her voice husky with sleep.
One of the delivery men handed her a clipboard and a pen. "Sign here, please, ma'am. It's a delivery from Mr Jin."
Leila's eyes scanned the clipboard, and her heart skipped a beat as she saw the name "Jin" scribbled on the card. She felt a flutter in her chest as she signed for the flowers, and the delivery men began to fill her apartment with the colorful blooms.
"Must be a special occasion, ma'am," one of the delivery men said, smiling.
Leila smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her body. "I think it might be," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. She was absolutely shocked, Jin wasn't the romantic type but here he was doing the most romantic of things lately.
As the last of the flowers was delivered, Leila stood in the midst of the sea of petals, her eyes shining with tears. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of love, and she couldn't help but smile. Jin was not a man of grand gestures, but this... this was different, this had made her fall deeper in love with him.
She picked up her phone and dialed Jin's number, her heart racing with excitement. Jimmy, who was pretending to be Jin, answered on the first ring, his voice smooth and confident.
"Hey, beautiful," he said, his voice sending shivers down her spine.
"Oh, you sent me flowers," Leila said, trying to sound nonchalant, but failing miserably.
Jimmy, as Jin, chuckled, the sound sending a thrill through her body. "Yeah, I decided to start treating you like the angel you are," he said, his voice low and husky.
Leila blushed, feeling a warmth spread through her body. "I... I don't know what to say," she stammered.
"You don't have to say anything," Jimmy, as Jin, said, his voice gentle. "Just enjoy the flowers, okay?"
Leila nodded, even though she knew he couldn't see her. "Okay," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
As she hung up the phone, Leila felt a sense of happiness wash over her. For the first time in a long time, she felt truly loved.

In a sleek, modern office building, Helena sat at a conference table, surrounded by her lawyers. The air was thick with tension as they pored over documents and discussed strategy.
"We need to claim the inheritance by force," Helena said, her voice cold and calculating. "We can't let those people get away with it."
Her lawyers nodded, their faces serious. "We'll do everything we can, Helena. But we need to be careful. The opposition is strong."
Helena's eyes narrowed. "I don't care about careful. I care about winning. You see, I made a mistake when I left Richard. I thought he was a poor man, but he was just a man with potential. And now, he's left everything to that woman and her children."
One of her lawyers, a tall, thin man with glasses, spoke up. "Helena, we need to remember that you signed an agreement when you left Richard. You gave up your rights to the inheritance."
Helena's face twisted in anger. "That agreement was signed under duress. I was young and stupid. I didn't know what I was getting into. I left Richard for another man, a man who promised me the world, but ended up leaving me with nothing. Tom and Jerry, my sons, they were young and foolish, and they followed me without question. But now, they're grown men, and they're just as ruthless as I am."
The lawyer nodded. "We'll try to get the agreement overturned, but it's going to be tough. Richard was a smart man. He covered his bases."
Helena's eyes flashed with anger. "I don't care about tough. I care about winning. And I'll do whatever it takes to get that inheritance. Richard and I, we had a complicated past. He begged me to stay, to stay with the kids, but Tom and Jerry, they refused. They wanted to follow their mother, and I... I let them. But Richard, he was smart. He made sure that we wouldn't get a dime from him. And now, he's gone, and it's time for us to take what's rightfully ours."
The lawyers nodded, their faces serious. They knew that Helena was a force to be reckoned with, and they were willing to do whatever it took to help her win.
As they continued to discuss strategy, Helena's mind wandered back to her past. She had left Richard for a man who promised her the world, but ended up leaving her with nothing. She had been young and foolish, and she had paid the price. But now, she was older and wiser, and she was determined to get what she deserved.

In the hospital, Ryan and Jimmy (who was pretending to be Jin) sat beside Jin's bed, listening to the doctor's update.
"His finger flickered," the doctor said, a smile on his face. "It's a good sign. But we need to be realistic. His response is still slow, and we don't know if he'll recover fully."
Ryan nodded, his eyes fixed on Jin's face. "We'll take whatever we can get," he said, his voice filled with emotion.
Jimmy, as Jin, nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. He was pretending to be Jin, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that his physical photocopy was going to be okay.
As the doctor left, Ryan turned to Jimmy. "The will is going to be red in two weeks," he said, his voice low.
Jimmy's eyes widened. "You mean...?"
Ryan nodded. "Yeah. If Richard didn't include Helena in the wheel, we might have a chance to stop her."
Jimmy let out a breath. "Let's hope he didn't."
Ryan nodded, his eyes fixed on Jin's face. "Let's hope."
