  Kingsley was halfway down the steps with Brandson at his heels when the front doors opened.   The heavy scent of perfume hit first, it was sickly sweet and applied way too much.   It was Janet.   She stepped inside draped in fur like she owned the place, heels clicking against marble with slow confidence.
