The bus came to a complete halt in front of the school and Mrs. Reed stated calling out the name of the students on the list. She exhausted the list but her favourite student was still nowhere to be seen. Mrs. Reed panicked. The marks for this field trip would count towards the final examination grade and if Diane missed it, then she would only have fifty percent for her theory work.
“Everybody settle down.” Mrs. Reed shouted. She was failing to think properly with all the noise that the students were making, but she was not the only one worried about Diane.
