Diane ran downstairs when she heard her mother call. Irene and Phoebe were feasting on a heavy breakfast when she arrived in the kitchen. Surprised to see a suitcase near the kitchen table, she kicked questionably before taking a seat at the table. Irene served her food, placing it in front of her.
“Thank you, mum.” Diane happily said before she looked back at the suitcase.
“Mum….”
“Yes sweetheart.” Irene replied happily.
“Are you going somewhere?”
“Yes…I have to go to take your Aunt to Twin Palm Development hospital in Rhodes. A friend of mine said that hospital has the best doctors in our country.”
“How long will you be gone for?”
“Three weeks maximum.”
“Can’t we go with you?” Phoebe asked
“You two cannot come with me.” Irene replied. “You have school. Focus on your academics.
