Chapter 50The room had A B C carpeting. Looked like giant puzzle pieces fit together. Each piece contained a letter, or an object like an apple, a ball, or a cat in the puzzle piece section. One complete wall was a chalkboard. In the one corner sat a large, overstuffed toybox. A paper roll was mounted over a magnetic easel. There were paint supplies on a two-foot-tall table in the left-center part of the room.
Carrie and Sara sat side by side at the round table in the middle of the room. Across from them Investigators Falcone and Richards did their best at appearing as passive and non-threatening as possible. Richards used crayons and absently added colors to a blank page in a super hero coloring book.
