Tonight was the date I met on the dating app. We were going to a club, and I was getting all decked out in my cutegore core self. I looked at myself in the floor length mirror and did a little spin before starting on my hair and makeup. After that was completed, I picked out my accessories.
When I got to the club, I was waiting for Adam to show up. I kept looking at my watch. He was fifteen minutes late. I sighed and shook my head.
“Whatever, you were probably pretty f*****g vanilla anyway.”
I get in line. “May as well get drunk and grind on some dude, maybe finally get to have d**k after months of not getting any,” I grumbled to myself.
Once I finally got into the club, I made a beeline for the bar. I flashed my License. “I’ll take a s*x on the Beach, please.”
The bartender nodded, and I took a seat on one of the stools, waiting for my drink. EDM music was blaring from the dance floors. I tapped my foot to the beat, and my fingers drummed against the counter. When the bartender slid my drink down the bar top. I caught it in my hand and took a long drink of the alcohol.
It didn’t take long until I just slammed the drink down my throat and ordered another. That one was going down the same way as the last. Finally, I started feeling the affects and I made my way to the dance floor.
I raised my hands up as I swayed and twisted my body. In a drunken haze of a dance. It was a siren’s call to anyone who needed to release some s****l tension. Soon, I felt a warm and sticky body grinding up against my ass. I grinned back into his pelvis.
“Hey, seeexy.” The man slurred as his hands rode up my sides.
His fingers were bunching the fabric upwards slightly, showing off my tramp stamp and navel piercing. He growled against my neck. His large hands gripped my hips and spun me around. My eyes widened. The f**k that can’t be Dante… He didn’t seem to recolonize me. His eyes were hooded and glazed with lust and alcohol.
He kissed up along my neck, and I whimpered. Like a f*****g b***h in heat. My breathing grew heavier. I was about to whine, and my inner wolf was f*****g loving this as she chanted mate, mate, mate. I looked up at his face, and he seemed to start registering that it was me he was grinding up on. He pulled away quickly and made a mad dash towards the exit.
I tried to call for him, and I tried to will my body to move, but I was just in so much shock. I couldn’t call for him, and I couldn’t chase him. Why did he run? Did his wolf say the same thing?
Why the f**k did my wolf say mate. I mean, we’ve been in the same space before… was it because of the pheromones? I whined. I had no one to talk to about how this all works. I’d be too embarrassed to talk to my doctor about it.
After a few moments, I sobered up and headed out. If my wolf wasn’t wrong… I needed to figure out what this meant, and f**k, where do we go from here? Ira is my best friend, and I don’t wanna ruin that friendship, but…
I drove the way home, my mind racing and my body tingling. Maybe it was just because I was tipsy, maybe I misunderstood what my wolf was saying. That was all possible, right? I pulled into my garage and stumbled inside my foyer. I stripped my black fur boots with red splatters of fur, to mimic blood, off and carried them upstairs to put back into my shoe closet.
I stripped outta my club clothes and threw them in the hamper. My bed seemed so welcoming right now. I climbed into it and snuggled underneath the sheets. The sounds from the streets flooded my bedroom like all my senses were on hyper drive. I buried my head further underneath the covers until everything drowned out and I fell into the lull of sleep.
When I got to work that day, I noticed Dante was keeping his distance, and my wolf didn’t seem to complain. Maybe she smelled my mate, but it wasn’t him? I looked through the ledger for the day and walked over to Dante’s office.
“Hey, Dante, you have 4 meetings today, one in an hour, the other three after lunch, one pm, three pm, and a later one at five pm.”
He looked up at me and nodded. “Thank you. When they get to the boardroom, please let me know.”
“Of course, is there anything I can help you with?”
“No, that’s all for now that you.”
I nodded and left his office. I went to the break room to make myself a cup of coffee before the first group of people got here for the first meeting. Once I got back to my desk and was going through paperwork, I had to send it out to the other departments. I liked this sort of work. It was repetitive, and for me, that was relaxing. I called one of the runners, a person who takes paperwork where it is needed, to come and pick up the finished pile. Each places papers in a separate manila folder.
I put the finished pile into the pick up box near the front of my desk and started on another pile. I took a long sip of my coffee as the first group came up the elevator. “Hello, Mr. Valenti will be with you shortly. Let me show you to the board room you’ll be using.” I stood up and shook all their hands before I led them down the hall and into boardroom A.
“Here is the room and I’ll let him know you’re all here.” I made my way back down the hall and poked my head into Dante’s office. “Sir, your first meeting is all set in boardroom A.”
“Thank you, Azalea. I’ll join them shortly.” He didn’t look up when he spoke, but I still nodded and headed back to my desk.
