"I can't be with you! My dad won't-" I cut her off.
"Your dad is gonna have to suck it up, he can't separate us. We're supposed to be together." I said, watching her frown and shake her head.
"No," she replied, yanking her arm away from me, "I'm sorry."
"Are you..." I trailed off, realizing what she was trying to do.
She's trying to reject me without hurting my feelings.
After she noticed I knew what she was trying to do, she turned around and ran off, leaving me alone and hurt.
"I'm sorry..." I said quietly, knowing she can't hear me anymore.
A few moments past and I turned around then went back into the school, staring at my feet as I walked past everyone.
