41: hometown

Sumy’s POV Waiting for too long in this place made me restless. I didn’t like it. The walls felt like a cage, and my chest grew heavy with every passing second. A wild thought ran through me—I wanted to storm in there, tear them apart, especially Ryder. The anger burned in me like fire, itching to be unleashed. I couldn’t stay still. I pushed myself up, one hand holding my heavy stomach as I walked out into the open air. The back of the pack house was different. Quiet. Untouched. The ground was clean, not a single footprint—just trees, grasses swaying lightly, and the sound of birds. It was almost too peaceful compared to the chaos inside. I kept walking, not really knowing where the path would lead me. My hand rubbed over my belly as if to comfort both myself and the life inside me.
