Seeing how Sumy seems so stressed, and how much she’s being affected by the bond, hurts in a way I can’t explain. But her stubbornness won’t let her come to us, won’t let her surrender to what her body and soul are craving. Our mark is eating her up slowly, and we can all feel it. Her eyes look tired, her breath shallow. Yet she pretends she’s fine.
We don’t need to force her this time. The effects are showing physically now—she doesn’t have a choice. Sooner or later, she’ll come crawling back.
