The hall was lit with long torches mounted on the walls. Inside was all the remaining family members, nurse Lola, Daniel and Dani, maid Rashida holding a plate of steam rice and chicken. The silence when I entered was unbearable, everyone’s eyes digging into my skin like knives. Dani was busy tapping her stomach. The gesture wasn’t casual—it was deliberate, taunting, like she wanted every eye in that room to remember the life she claimed was growing inside her. All of their expression seems they are not happy, I don't think nurse Lola told them about the pregnancy because if she did, they should be happy not this sad.
