Daniel didn’t even flinch. His grip only tightened, his fingers digging cruelly into my skin as though he wanted to leave permanent marks. He dragged me forward without mercy.
“You are always stubborn since birth,” he muttered coldly, shoving me toward the exit like I was nothing but a burden to be discarded. His voice wasn’t raised.
The doors loomed ahead, wide open, revealing the cold, sharp night beyond. My steps faltered, my heart thundering as the chill reached me.
