Morning After

Jaden's hands traveled up Kendra's arms, their lips remaining connected as they continued to lose themselves at the moment. Their breathing was labored, with alcohol impairing their judgment, causing both to have clouded thoughts. "What is it that you are doing?" While kissing, Jaden mumbled quietly, his thoughts foggy. "Mark..." Kendra exhaled, her speech unclear. Jaden was too intoxicated to realize her error, too consumed by his own feelings to be concerned. The name went unnoticed, and they went on, overwhelmed by their mutual suffering and longing for freedom. The darkness surrounded them as they surrendered, their errors momentarily set aside. Thrust after thrust, moan after moan, grunt after grunt. The following day, sunlight poured through the windows, feeling warm and bright. Kendra stirred, feeling the pain in her body as she gradually regained consciousness. She felt her heart beating fast as she looked around and noticed her clothes spread out in the room. She felt a tight grip of panic in her chest, and her head pounded as she remembered the events from the previous night. Quickly, she sat up and held the blanket tightly against her chest. What did she do? Surveying the room, she absorbed the new environment and the lavish decor that served as a constant reminder of her distance from home. Her scattered clothes served as a painful reminder of the mistake she had made. She looked at the tiny note next to the bed. Reluctantly, she extended her hand and grabbed it, opening it with trembling hands. I apologize for what happened yesterday. It was not supposed to happen. "This is how you can reach me." The signature bearing the name “Jaden Hyacinth” caused a sudden wave of understanding within her. Kendra gazed at the message, her thoughts spinning. The previous night was a mistake fueled by alcohol - she had spent it with a man she hardly knew. Her emotions were a combination of shame, regret, and confusion. Is it necessary for her to shed tears? Find it amusing? She was unsure about her emotions. What exactly was wrong with her? She asked as she scrambled out of bed, refusing to let the hot tears spiral down her cheeks. She dressed quickly, sighing in an attempt to suppress the guilt that consumed her. Why did she decide to sleep with a stranger on the first night? It seemed as if she was losing all sense of direction. Kendra quickly and quietly left the room, her steps hastened. She walked out of the building without turning back, attempting to evade the repercussions of the situation. Upon arriving at her apartment, she was overwhelmed with exhaustion. She fell onto her bed and gazed at the ceiling, overwhelmed by the consequences of her actions. What comes next? Jaden was seated at his desk in Hyacinth Enterprises, his mind filled with a mix of confusion and guilt. He had not anticipated the evening unfolding as it did. Before he could comprehend everything, the door to his office suddenly swung open. Sophie entered gracefully, Luca's arm securely around her waist. They were laughing, appearing carefree. As he observed them, Jaden's eyes grew darker and his anger surged. "Leave," he snarled, his voice tinged with irritation. Sophie grinned, unfazed by his anger. "We have no intention of leaving, Jaden," she stated, oozing sarcasm in her voice. Do you recall that Luca owns a portion of the company? This implies I am free to go to any location I desire. Jaden's teeth gritted. I'm not concerned with Luca's possessions. I am the chief executive officer, and I am fully entitled to kick you out. Luca laughed, moving ahead. "Really, little brother, do you believe you can actually evict me?" My presence here is just as legitimate as yours. Jaden stared angrily at Luca, his fists held tightly by his sides. While you might own stocks in the business, I am the one in charge here. "If you don't want to lose what you have, it's best for you to go." Sophie's eyes sparkled with amusement. "What was the sensation like, Jaden?" she inquired, her voice silky and teasing. Listening to me groan, listening to Luca make noise? She pressed against Luca's chest, never looking away from Jaden. “I bet you couldn't hold back the anger, it threatened to tear you, to pour out, but of course you're the proper CEO and must always maintain decorum. Such a pitiful soul.” Jaden's fists tightened even more, his knuckles turning white as he struggled to control his urge to attack. He had listened to everything - the treachery, the shame - and now she was using it against him. “Oh I bet he's gone deaf.” Luca said, and Jaden could feel the hate radiating from his brother. He wasn't surprised because their relationship was estranged and there was nothing to fall back to in their relationship. They grew up apart and in different circumstances. He inhaled deeply, his tone calculated and chilling. "Jon," Jaden called out, pushing the intercom button. "Can I help you, sir?" Jon replied quickly. "Call security immediately. I want these two out of this building in the next five minutes." Sophie's expression wavered briefly, but Luca grinned as he tightened his hold on her waist. "Are you serious, Jaden?" "Are you planning to have security escort us out?" He shook his head, chuckling in a sinister manner. "Weak." Moments later, two burly security personnel entered the office with a sense of professionalism. "Is Mr. Hyacinth here?" inquired one of the guards, ready for guidance. Jaden gestured towards Sophie and Luca. "Remove them from this location, take them away, and I don't want to ever see them close to this building. Do you understand?" He asked. “Of course, I understand. We'll do that immediately.” Luca held up his hand, preventing the guards from coming closer. "He said coolly that there was no necessity for that." "We will depart independently." He looked at Sophie, who shot Jaden one final angry look before walking away. "We'll return, Jaden," Sophie cautioned, her voice quiet and threatening. "This is far from finished." Jaden stayed quiet, observing them exit his office, feeling a combination of anger and fatigue weighing heavily on his chest. After the door shut, he exhaled deeply and settled into his seat. This battle was nowhere near its end.
