Wednesday morning I got up and put on my gray suit with a purple camisole underneath. I was not happy to be shutting down my shop, or to be working with Brett for the day. I needed to work on some new recipes for Mayor Ramsey. I’d prefer to have two days to get them perfected, but I’d settle for one day. I had no choice. Brett was already in the office when I got there. “Get me a cup of coffee, would you?” he said when I walked into his office.
