I was excited as we walked into Molly and Jaden’s backyard. Everyone was here and it made me smile. It was also a perfect Saturday. The sun was high in the sky and even though it was warm, the breeze was cool enough that it was damn near perfect. The energy was infectious. Corey ran off and so did Jack, leaving me to mingle as I saw fit. I headed over to where Jaden and Erik were standing by the grill, flipping burgers.
“Hey, Hank, do you want to taste?” Jaden asked when he spotted me. I definitely wasn’t going to say no as my stomach rumbled.
