Corey When I woke up, everything felt hazy and strange. Almost as if I was caught between a dream and reality. I stiffened as I glanced over my shoulder, but then I was surprised to see Hank lying behind me, his arm resting protectively over my waist. His presence immediately felt comforting and grounded me in the here and now. But as I lay there, the fog in my mind began to clear and bits of the previous night came flooding back to me. Hank and Jack coming into my room. Their voices had been soft and worried. I remembered them taking me away. I remembered them showering me and getting me dressed. I remembered how they helped me brush my teeth before they tucked me into bed. Jack’s bed. I then remembered waking up and Hank carried me to the living room and Jack brought me a plate of food.
