Chapter 10 1910, Southampton Adan Noble, Crown Prosecutor, was in his office, preparing for a meeting with his boss, the chief crown prosecutor. Although the window in his prized office at the Crown Prosecution Service was open, the breeze did not prevent the perspiration from forming on his skin. Noble had been a public solicitor for ten years. Most other men in his year had turned to private practice by now, but he remained in public service.
