Ainslon stood back as Edna captivated the kids with all the different voices of the forest animals in the book she’d chosen to read. Justin lent her a camera and tripod to record the reading. The night before, she’d cried herself to sleep in Lauren’s arms. Edna wouldn’t be around much longer. She had known it for a while, she just didn’t want to acknowledge it. Now she had to.
