Chapter-3 THOSE SECRETS

“Anna dinner is ready” come out her mom called her.
Anna woke up with a knock at the door.
“Yeah coming mom”
She replied in groggily while rubbing her eyes. she raised her hand and looked at her watch it’s almost 9 P.M, she didn’t realize that she slept for so long. She looks fresh just a little sourness on her face as she slept for 2 hours in the same position.
She hurriedly jumped out of her bed and stepped in the washroom, splashed a handful of water onto her face to get rid of the sourness.
‘Now you look better’ she said to herself while looking in the mirror faking smile, she then picks the hand towel from the cupboard wiped her face and walked out to the dining table.
Her father was sitting on a chair next to the dining table and her mother is serving the food to her father.
"Good evening, DAD”
Anna greeted her father while grabbing a chair next to him to sit.
"Good evening, Princess." Her Dad replied her back with a smile.
a father-daughter love both stare each other with a smile.
"UUDDDmmm."
Marry cleared her throat “Let's start eating” her mom interrupted with a slow voice.
It seems to be a regular family dinner. Anna took a bowl of porridge and started eating.
Her parents both eating rice and curry with some salad. The scene looks very peaceful.
As Anna was about to finish her food.
”Do help me with the dishes, Anna, before going to bed.” Mary asked Anna while breaking the silence.
”Sure Mom." Anna stood up took a small bowl pour the leftover food from the big bowls to the small bowls.
Collected all the soiled dishes from the dining table and took them to the kitchen.
She quietly cleaned all the dishes and put them back to the shelves.
Meanwhile, her father has gone back to his room and her mom is wiping the dining table.
“Mom it's done,” she said to her mom and switched off the lights.
“Anna” her mom called her in a voice full of concern. both standing close to each other
Mary holds Anna’s hand in a very concerned voice she asked her
"Anna my daughter, Are you okay?" Anna smiled holding her mom's hands tightly
“Yes, mom I am good,” it’s better to lie to her mom,
she thought for a moment, she tightly hugged her and whispered ”good night mom”
Headed towards her room, deep inside her heart, she knew that mom could read her fake gestures.
"GOOD NIGHT my Princess" with a flying kiss mom replied to her, looking at Anna
Mary switched off all the lights and went to her room to sleep. She is always very worried about Anna and Jack.
Rodger was lying on the bed in his night suit. Mary sat on the other side of the bed quietly, absentmindedly looking out of the bedside window.
"Did Anna slept Roger asked Mary?"
"Hmm," she murmured.
"What? where are you lost?" Roger asked turning to her.
"Roger, Anna is very sad these days. I can't see my daughter like this anymore".
Mary answered dryly to her husband.
"Anna is my daughter too. She looks perfectly fine to me." Roger arrogantly suppressed her voice.
"Don’t you think we should tell her everything?" As soon as Mary completed her sentence.
Rodge jumped out the bed and grabbed Mary's wrist and warned her
"You Dare not to tell anything to My daughter."
"But why?" Mary snatched her wrist back and pushed him away from her.
This reaction of hers made him realize that he behaved badly.
He calmly tried to convince Mary...
"We can't tell Anna those secrets until we are not instructed to do that, we have to wait for the right time" and
Went back to the bed and lied down turning his back to her.
Mary came close to him touched his shoulder before she could speak
Roger raised his hand towards her
“NO more discussions good night”. he closed his eyes pretending like he fell asleep.
Mary felt so helpless and turn around and closed her eyes and tries to sleep.
