Rick crouched down on a branch high up in a tree, watching the activities across a small stream. It was a small stream with shallow water. The water looked more stagnant than flowing and had a green color to it. On one side, the stream was boarded by a cliff wall of trees. The vegetation was thick and green. It offered an excellent cover for Rick. Across the small body of water, there was a bare space of white sands. It stretched for almost twenty feet. It was a picturesque view, beautiful and breathtaking. But Rick was not there to admire the view. His eyes were trained on the four wolves that were laying in the sand after having a drink of water.
