The sounds of crickets chirping lured Sue out of the exhausted sleep she hadn’t even realized she had fallen into. She fought her body’s protests for more sleep and opened her eyes. She looked around in a dazed, almost confused stare. For a moment, she had no idea where she was or how she got there. It was like a déjà vu moment of when Rick had kidn*pped her. She was laying down on the ground surrounded by a now dark forest. It was nightfall. The only source of light was the moon’s rays slipping in between the leaves and branches of the trees towards the ground, covered in dead leaves and grass.
