Chapter 3: Enemy

Aine obviously did not listen. She sat at the farthest seat to avoid any contact with him and sighed. She was now too tired to even listen to the teacher's lecture. Her eyes wandered around until it reached the window. There, she could see a plain, blue sky. It was so peaceful that just stared there. Gavin would be fine since he often gets into fights like this but she was worried as to how her parents would react once they found out that she had been treated that way by Jax. Her parents were the ideal parents anyone would want but Aine has a lot of pride. She doesn't like it whenever they try to meddle in her life too much. Just as she was thinking about it, someone appeared at the door of their classroom "Excuse me, the dean is asking for Aine," It's the teacher's assistant. Aine looked at her, troubled. 'What is this now? Am I getting punished too even though I'm not involved in their fight?' She heaved a heavy sigh. She hopes that it's not the case. She absolutely hates cleaning around the huge campus. Regardless, she got up and walked toward the teacher's assistant. "Let's hurry, the dean is already waiting." Aine didn't reply but she followed his words and walked a little faster than usual. Of course, along the way, she couldn't help but be nervous. "Have a seat." Aine sat as she looked around the people inside the dean's office. Her parents are here. "We heard what happened, how this fight started. And right now, your parents are demanding us to transfer you to another class, hija we can do that but I want to hear your opinion regarding this first." Hearing the dean's words. Aine was troubled. It's true that if she decided to change to a new section, everything would be easier but for some reason, she doesn't want to. Maybe because she no longer wants her parents to think that she's still as fragile as before. She contemplated for a while. Her life this school year would depend on this choice. It's between her pride and what's good. "Honey, please listen to us. We only want what's best for you. Being associated with a guy like that would do nothing but harm to you..." Aine shook her head. She knows that, she knows that her mom and dad's intentions were good but what about her right to decide for her life? This is when Aine finally made up her mind. She now wants to face everything by herself. "I'll stay at my current class. Don't worry mom, dad I can handle myself." "Aine! You need to listen to u--" "Mom, let me do this myself. Trust me, I'll handle this." "Ain-" "Hon, let her do it. She's determined to solve this herself..." Her dad, Arcus then looked at Aine softly. He was conveying the fact that he trusts her and that he would let her handle this by herself "But if it gets too hard, you can always tell us. We're not your parents for nothing, okay?" He continued before he left a kiss on her forehead. Aine just smiled in response, the same with her mother who was now looking at her lovingly but still have a hint of doubt in her eyes. Just as everything was finally settled, "No! Definitely not! It's not safe for them to stay in one classroom," Gavin exclaimed before turning to Jax to glare at him. "No, I'll be safe. Let's just get this done now. I'm tired." Aine replied but as always, Gavin is persistent. Fortunately, before an hour passes as they argue back and forth, Aine managed to convince him somehow by promising that she would immediately come to his classroom just in case something bad happens. "You're quite something huh, but I'll show you that you made the wrong choice." Along the way back to her classroom, someone pulled her to an empty room. It was Jax, he was giving her a playful look as he whispered the following words. Aine was stunned, Jax just got into trouble because of his actions and now he's doing it again. Of course, she expects him to act like this anytime soon but not today. She thought he would have at least avoided more trouble today as he already got a punishment. It was when Jax started snipping her neck that she had come to her senses. She felt a tickling sensation so she immediately put a distance in between them. "What?" Jax asked cluelessly. Aine was annoyed. 'He literally just snipped the heck out of my neck and he had the audacity to act like as if it's strange for me to back off just to put a distance in between us' Aine just snorted before turning her back to leave this place. Any place with Jax is suffocating. However, before she even manages to exit the door, she once again felt a strong force pulling her back. "We're still not done. I still have some things to say." Jax said fiercely as he pinned her to the wall. Obviously, Aine tried to use her hand or even kick him just to get away but he was too skilled. "Calm down, babe." Aine was startled. He suddenly started lowering his head, looking like as if he'll kiss her right here and then just to shut her up. "Don't you dare to call me babe, you f*cker! You don't suit my taste!" "Isn't everyone's ideal type a handsome man? I'm handsome." He confidently uttered, still having his head lowered to her eye level. Aine could only laugh sarcastically at his answer. 'He's stupid' "You're handsome? Well, that's true but you're lacking something. Now, if you just let go of my hand, then I'll probably tell you what it is," However, instead of taking her word seriously, he just simply laughed before he let go of her. This is when she finally braced herself. "You are lacking down there! Your private part isn't working, right?" Aine said before quickly running off to her classroom, full of joy. But before she managed to enter the room completely, she heard his fairly loud voice. "Remember this, your life this school year? It won't be good not unless you give me whatever I want."
