I worked my way around the bar all night, checking in on Gavin and Zoey both. There was something going on between them, but I couldn’t ask either of them about it. Gavin wasn’t alone, and I wasn’t willing to put Zoey in the middle by asking her.
Zoey and Blake were getting along well, which made me happy. After Zoey was so upset at Christmas, I hoped she found a way to enjoy her trip. Seeing her laugh with Blake was good.
“Hey, honey, why don’t you come sit with me,” a guy said as I walked by.
“Sorry, busy night,” I told him, spinning out of the way of his reach.
I tried to avoid him next time I went by, but it wasn’t long before he managed to get in front of me and block my path.
