Anna pov:

I got out of the cab immediately and ran into the restaurant, I didn't mind the passer-by who was looking at me because I was more afraid of my boss than anybody, even though I wasn't timid or someone anybody Could intimidate, I would still stoop low when it comes to money or my job to earn money, cause that's the only thing that would make anyone respect you.

I saw Skyler pacing back and front at her duty post. I rushed to her, removed my bag, and placed it on the table. I took out a band and tied my hair in a ponytail style and waited for her to tell me the situation.

"What's going on? Why did you tell me to come here?" I asked.

"Mrs. Gina found out I was helping you with your duty, she happened to come to the VIP floor and found out, and so she asked of you" Skyler answered. Mrs. Gina is my boss, she owns the biggest restaurant in Los Angeles. I heard she wasn't the owner of the restaurant, but just working as the manager since the owner wasn't ready to work there. When it comes to her job, Mrs Gina is always serious and hates when anyone messes with her.

"Was she angry when she asked about me?" I asked again.

"I don't know, but she maintained a cool expression, but you know how she is, you should go see her in her office now, I'm sure you don't want to meddle with her bad side" Skyler responded and I nodded.

"Grace is taking your shift now" She added.

I walked up the stairs and headed to Mrs Gina's office, I knocked and opened the door. She wasn't doing anything but operating on her phone.

"Good day Mis Gina" I greeted and she raised her head up.

"Good day Miss Anna, you finally decided to come to work right? I thought you ?" She asked, I didn't answer that question because I think I'm going to quit this job soon since I got a new job as a contract wife.

"Which expression on your face, I'm right, are you quitting?" She asked.

"I'm not Mrs. Gina, I had a very important thing to deal with, so I asked Skyler to help me, I'm sorry I didn't tell you before doing it, I promise it won’t

happen again" I apologized, she stood up and walked up to me.

"You know you are my favorite worker because you earn more money for me, your beauty, shape and everything about you is perfect, that's why I allowed you to work on the VIP floor, so don't mess with me Anna, money is wanted we want and I won't pay you if you don't pay me, I'm I understood?" She asked and I nodded. Money is the only thing that everyone wants, and I am not exceptional.

"I'll head to my duty now?" I bowed my head out. It seems Skyler was waiting for me because she rushed to me immediately after I came out.

"Was she angry? Did she give you something you can't do? Did she.."

"Calm down Skyler!" I interrupted.

"She didn't yell at me, she only asked me to earn more money for her as usual, it seems I will be getting off work late today, Don't wait for me" I tapped her shoulder, took the elevator, and went to the nine cloud, the VIP floor.

I sighted Grace who was working for me and took the tray from her hand

"Thank you! I'll take it up from here" I said and she nodded.

"Miller is also working here, you should be careful, you know how annoying she is," Grace said and I laughed. Even though I'm afraid of a tiny ant, I can never be afraid of Miller.

"Good day sir, what do you want?" I asked a customer who seemed new to the VIP

"It seems this is your first time here?" I asked and he smiled.

"Do you know all the customers here?" He asked and I nodded.

"That's my job so it's not something new for me to know all our old customers," I said with a smile.

"What do you want sir, all the drinks and food on our menu are the top in LA, you can try it out sir" I added, but he kept looking at me. I couldn't tell by the expression on his face because the room had dark light.

"Sir.." I called.

"Can I buy you?" He suddenly asked, I was so shocked by the question that I didn't even know what to answer.

"I mean, can I buy you so you will be the only one serving me here anytime I come!" He added.

"I don't think that would happen, I have my name to save, and my job is to work for everyone" I'm sure this man is someone who isn't worth giving respect to, so why would he say he wants to buy me, does he think I'm a tool he would just buy, because he has the money does he think others are nothing.

"Sorry to say this sir, but you can't just say you would buy someone because you have the money, it's bad and you are hurting another person's feelings, I'm being calm to you because I don't want to lose my job if I wasn't working here, I don't know what would have happened," I said calmly.

"Anna, your attention is needed here, I need my regular means!" A customer yelled my name.

"If you don't mind I have other people to attend, after looking through the menu and you have decided what to eat, you can call me" I smiled, bowed down, and left. I looked at him again and he was smiling "What's funny"

"Anna! Can you stop lacking off and deal with the customer who needs your attention!" Miller yelled at me, I wasn't ready to exchange words with her so I went to do what she said.
