My eyes widened and I searched Dad’s face for any hint that he was joking or lying but there was none. He was dead serious.

He let out a sigh. “You can become Alpha with the help of the Pack Army. Join the Pack Army, get them under your control and use them to overthrow the Elder Council,” He shot dirty glares at the elders.
“Being the Alpha of Silvercrest officially makes you the commander of the Pack Army and in your case Layla, it just means you're taking command a bit too early. It will be difficult but once you gain their loyalty. They'll help you become Alpha.”
