I don't think it's such a good idea for you to start sniffing around.” Carla snorted, rolling her eyes. “You're such a party pooper.” “Shut your mouth, Carla.” Jody retorted. “I'm just speaking the truth here.” “You can't tell me you're not in the least curious about why she's a hybrid. Not even a little bit?” “Well, I am, but—” “There you have it,” Carla interrupted. “Stop being a goody two shoes and help us.” I let out a sigh. “Look, Jody. As much as we would need your help, I would never force you to do something you're not comfortable with. If it's not okay with you, that's perfectly fine.
