Riya's POV
The next few weeks were pretty intense. It was exams week and after we were done with that, the results were released the following week, before winter break.
I hated that the results were posted on a bulletin board in the hallway. Nadia and I pushed our way through the throngs of students that surrounded the board, to see our scores.
As we stood in front of the bulletin board, I felt my heart thump so hard, threatening to jump out of my mouth. On the top of the list in our class was Laurie. My eyes critically scanned down the list and a sigh of relief escaped my lips as I saw my name in the third position.
