Riya's POV The next day, Hiram did not wait to drive me to school. By the time I was ready for school, I hurried downstairs and noticed that the dining table where Hiram usually had breakfast was empty and neither was he in the kitchen. “Mrs. Jax.” Candice approached me and bowed her head low before me. “Mr. Jax asked that the chauffeur drive you to school. He had left earlier because he had something important to do.” I flashed Candice a small smile of gratitude, camouflaging the pain in my eyes and after she left my presence again, I exhaled shakily and squeezed my eyes shut to get a grip of myself. That's enough, Riya. It's fashion week. Let's channel our energy on that and escape the thoughts of Hiram. Opening my eyes again, I pasted a smile on my face and walked out of the house
