“Yo! What's up, man?” Kevin waved me over excitedly as soon as his eyes landed on my frame walking into the club.
“Hey.” I greeted him with a lesser enthusiasm than he welcomed me with and I signaled the bar man over, before placing my order. “I'll have two shots of whatever he's having.”
“You know, I was quite surprised when you called to inform me you were joining me at the bar. We haven't been here in like forever.” Kevin drank from his glass of alcohol and I only shrugged in response. Kevin stared at me intently and his brows furrowed as he did so.
“You've got something on your mind, haven't you?”
The bar man carefully placed my order in front of me and I nodded at him in appreciation before drowning a shot into my mouth.
