"What's taking him so long?" Jolene's satisfaction with their hiding place began to wane as the day wore on. Allixon insisted they stay back against the wall of the alcove, and there was plenty of room for the two of them to sit crossed legged. Due to the slope of the ledge, however, their view from that vantage point was mostly taken up by the blue, cloudless sky. But since there only appeared to be one way to reach the ledge, given that they didn't have any climbing equipment but their own finger and toe holds on the vertical drop to the ravine, being seen would not be a good thing.
