Clarice flew passed Allixon on the otherwaverunner, then abruptly killed the power just as Jolene's head disappeared under the water for no apparent reason.
A loud air horn blasted from the direction of Logan's boat, Allixon had no idea what he was trying to get them to do. Clarice sprang off the waverunner and cut through the water in a blur, disappearing only to resurface a few long moments later with a sputtering, coughing Jolene. Allixon pressed the key once again, and her waverunner miraculously came back to life.
Clarice pulled Jolene toward her in a hold commonly used by lifeguards, and Allixon drove the waverunner close to the pair, then reached down to help pull Jolene up behind her. Long
