CHAPTER 5 ** TOO HANDSOME TO BE TRUE** hazel rushed inside her house, she immediately ran into her room and dropped her school bag. without changing she collapsed on her bed and shut her eyes. "1..2.. 3.. 4.. 5.. 6.. 7.. 8.. 9.. 10" she counted in her head, on reaching ten she immediately jumped up from her bed. the time was 3:36 the last time she checked, but now reaching home it was 3:42, it took her six good minutes to reach home, and the reason was that she had to run non stop like a mad woman. quickly she changed her clothes and down, hoping to see her mom in the kitchen. "oh thank God" hazel said with relief as she spotted her coming out of the kitchen with a tray of food in one hand while she used the other to push herself out. the old lady beemed with a smile when she saw her. "love your back, how was school today" she asked as she slowly rolled her way out. " it was okay mum" she answered as she took the tray of food out from her hand and dropped it on the small wooden table before she went back and helped her mum by taking control of the wheel chair, slowly she pushed her to the head of the table and ran back to the kitchen to collect another tray of food but halted when she noticed that there was no food remaining. she slowly walked out of the kitchen with a small sad face but on seeing the sad face that her mum was putting on she immediately flashed a bright smile. "child" she wanted to speak but was quickly cut short by hazel "it's okay mum, you eat first I'll eat later okay" the old lady shooked her head in disagreement. "no seriously it's fine, and besides I'll eat at work okay" hazel said as she sat besides her the old lady looked at hazel with tears in her eyes. "oh come on now, don't give out negative vibes, your vibes is killing my vibes" "sorry" she quickly apologized with a sniff. hazel let out a small smile before saying. " it's fine okay or do you want me to feed you?" the old lady nodded making hazel to chuckle. " sometimes you act like a baby, but don't worry, your my baby" hazel chimed excitedly as she began to feed her. " did anything special happen today?" the old lady asked. she was aware of the fact that hazel was an object to bullying and she either came back home crying or bruised and it really her worried, but on seeing that she stopped crying and complaining because she knew that it always got her worried, do she always smiled even though it was never genuine. but today seeing her smile got her questioning. hazel's mind unexpectedly drifted back to the new guy on her department. "well there's a new boy in school and he's so handsome to the point of perfection" "oh, and that got you smiling" the old lady said teasingly "of course not" hazel answered brushing off the woman's teasing he looks like a Greek god of some sort, the kind of person only heard of in fairytales, he's too handsome to be true " it seemed as though hazel's word struck a cord because it got the old lady thinking. "okay mum I have to go I'm already late" the old lady smiled warmly "thank you, be safe okay, and you can take the car" the old lady said to hazel as she bent down and gave her a kiss on the head. "take care and thank you" hazel said. "your welcome and I will" the old lady said with a smile "okay bye" hazel waved and ran off. the old lady smile immediately vanished as her eyes turned distant, as though remembering some thing she whispered to herself as she thought of hazes last words. "to handsome to be true huh" her eyes immediately darkened "could it be....." her voice trailed off as realization made her face drain of color, her eyes widened, her shoulders trembled as gasped. "oh no, lord have mercy, it cannot be"
