Chapter 5 : Letting Loose

1694 Words
Ezio held her waist tightly as if she could be snatched by another any second. Amalia noticed this and felt her confidence growing. “Relax, No voy a ninguna parte.” (Relax, I’m not going anywhere.) Amalia unknowingly whispered, staring at Ezio’s parted lips, her voice now sultry as they danced their way into eternal bliss- detached from the world as the music drowns out reality, both of them just focusing on how their bodies were in sync, how they instinctively danced to the rhythm, matching one another just as the tension between them was rising along with the climax of the song. “Den katalavaíno.” (I don’t understand) Ezio chuckled and stared into her honey-glazed eyes, dazed at how the foreign language sounded so seductive even though he knew what she said was not really that sexy. “We are speaking our own languages but I don’t really find it a hindrance. It’s way more interesting this way, is it not?” Amalia responded as she laughed, her head bumping into Ezio’s. Ezio then held her at the nape of her neck to help steady herself as they were still dancing to the beat of the song being played. “Are you alright?” Ezio looked at her, concern now lacing his tone. He then caressed her forehead, looking for any signs of scratches or bruises. Amalia gasped at his gesture and found herself staring into his eyes. “Y-yeah, I’m good. No need to fuss about it.” She stuttered, now avoiding his eye contact, and slightly pushed him away, but Ezio pulled her closer than ever, not letting her have the chance of getting away. “Do you still want to dance?” Ezio asked, silently hoping the woman in his arms would still want to dance. “I think we should sit this one out.” Amalia, feeling awkward and embarrassed, tried to get out of his embrace. ‘Gosh, he’s so close, I can practically hear his breathing. I have to get out of this right now,” She thought as a blush crept on her cheeks. “Okay, let me lead you out.” He replied, disappointment evident in his voice. He hoped she wasn’t able to notice the sudden change in tone. Little did Ezio know, Amalia noticed which made her confused. She was already dying of embarrassment and now she doesn’t want to plant feelings for this man as obviously, she doesn’t know anything about this man. ‘Come on, you’re in Barbados. Nobody knows you here. It won’t hurt to have a little hot summer fling during your stay, would it?’ Amalia sighed with that thought and just decided to wing it. ‘Whatever, it’s just for this night, I’ll let loose. I’ve got nothing to lose anyway, I don’t have any reputation to protect here.’ And with that, Amalia decided to be free from all of her responsibilities for one night. “Where are we going?” Amalia asked as Ezio didn’t stop at the bar as she thought he would. Rather, he led her far from where the party was held and opted for a quieter place for them to hang around. “Somewhere no one can bother us.” He replied, his voice low as he took his polo off and placed it on the sand to serve as a makeshift blanket where Amalia can sit comfortably. While the hot bartender was busy making Amalia comfortable, the Latina was busy ogling at the gentleman, especially since he was now half-naked. His muscles are screaming at Amalia for her to touch, and with her little to almost no restraint, she was finding it difficult to stop herself from practically jumping at Ezio and re-enacting the lewd scenarios she had come up in her head for the past 5 minutes. When she came to her senses, Ezio was still standing, staring at her and waiting for her reaction. “Well, I guess chivalry isn’t dead. At least, in this part of the world.” She stated, sheepishly. “I suppose it’s not,” Ezio replied as he chuckled.  “Don’t you want to sit?” Ezio asked as he gestured at the polo on the sand. “Uh-yea, sure.” Amalia then sat on the polo with Ezio following. An unexpected comfortable silence washed over them as they stared at the beach. Amalia rested her head on Ezio’s shoulder to which he responded with a jolt, but in no more than a second, he relaxed and shifted closer to her. He wrapped his arm around her and gently rubbed her shoulder to warm her. “Uhm, Ezio?” “Yes?” “Is it okay for you to leave the bar?” “Yeah. I already told my coworker to cover for me and that I will be covering his shift the next day so he would get off early. Why’d you ask?” “Nothing. I was just worried you would get scolded because of earlier. I feel better now though.” Amalia replied and released a sigh. “So how long would you be staying here?” Ezio asked out of the blue, noticing that he has been seeing Amalia quite often. “A couple more weeks I guess?” Amalia gulped, not wanting Ezio to know more about her. ‘Now that I think about it, there’s only a little time left for me here.’ “Hey, are you alright? You seem to be lost.” Ezio asked as he looked over her, concern evident in his tone. “Uh y-yea sure I am. Would you look at the stars! I never knew they could be this beautiful.” Amalia averted his gaze and switched the topic. ‘Way to go with your brilliant topic Mal!’ Amalia internally scolded herself for her stupid ideas. “Yeah...Truly breathtaking.” Ezio replied, his voice now husky as he stared at Amalia and paid the cosmos no mind. He sucked in a breath as if Amalia’s beauty was the one that was truly breathtaking, far exceeding that of the stars. He took in all of Amalia’s facial features. From her amber-honeyed eyes to her luscious lips that seems to test all his self-restraint- well what’s left of it that is. “Eíste mia aitherikí omorfiá, Amalia.” (You’re an ethereal beauty, Amalia.) Ezio leaned in closer and whispered her the words, perhaps the only ones so far that really meant to him for the past 5 years. Words that were spoken so soft, it was as if only the wind could hear. Surprisingly, Amalia managed to catch those words, causing her insides to go upside down despite not knowing what it meant. Deep inside, she knew it was as sentimental as it sounds. ‘This is driving me crazy. Why do you have to be so hot? I could just eat you up.’ And just like that, Amalia ruined the mood by muttering her last thought out loud. “You want to eat me up?” Ezio asked, amusement lacing his tone, accompanied by a smirk. “You just had to hear that. Ugh. Way to go, Amalia.” The Latina grunted and rolled her eyes at her own stupidity. “There’s no need to be embarrassed, I really find it cute.” Ezio tried to lighten her up, and in all honesty, the so-called hot bartender did indeed find her spitting her thoughts out loud, cute. At least, now he knows the attraction was definitely mutual, was what he thought which brought another smirk on his face. “Why are you looking at me like that?” Amalia asked, dumbfounded. “Like what?” Ezio responded, feigning ignorance. “Like you’re about to eat me up,” Amalia explained, gulping at the fact she just blurted. “Because I am,” Ezio replied, looking at her intently as he moved her closer to him, his hand on her delicate waist, which earned him another gulp from Amalia. “You don’t want me to? Or is it because you want to eat me?” He inched his face further that she could already count almost all the cyan shades swirling in his eyes. Amalia could barely keep her breath, her inner self struggling to make a decision. So she closed her eyes for a second and remembered what she promised herself earlier- to loosen up. So she did. Without another word, she pulled him by the collar on his polo and planted her lips on his. Feeling Ezio being stunned by her sudden kiss, she snaked her right arm around the nape of his neck and softly gripped a portion of his hair, pulling him closer to her as she deepened the kiss. Ezio finally responded, snaking his arm around her waist, tightening his grip. Their lips clashed as if it had been dying to be one with the other for so long, and the hunger that had built up all throughout the night was now the fuel to their drive. Amalia’s grip on Ezio’s collar tightened as their kiss became even more passionate with each passing second. Ezio pulled away first, catching his breath as he rested his head on Amalia’s shoulder. This made Amalia’s heart pump faster than usual, her flustered self now even more aware of the dangers that she may now face as his breath softly kissed her neck, sending a shiver down her spine. She looked up at the stars, hoping it would give her answers even though she knew it won’t. She uttered the only word she could come up on the situation she was in, “Mierda.” (Fuck.)
