Chapter XV “HERE ARE YOUR CAR KEYS, Alexa,” the baseborn on the other side said smiling and handed them to me. “Louis left them for you yesterday.” “Thanks, man.” I nodded and smiled. Louis had come by to drop off my car and probably to make sure I’d be reminded of his promise to be waiting for me. The day was certainly starting to look up. I found my car in the lot next to the park quickly enough, which meant I managed to reduce the number of shocked stares I got.
